CHAOS INVOCATIONS Copy link

While XOTH is active, a Hero may use Invoke to manifest one of the following Chaos Invocations.

Xoth represents entropy, temptation, transformation, consumption, and the rejection of imposed order.

Invocation

STXT (Story Effect)

GTXT (Game Effect)

Devour

You consume power, structure, advantage, or certainty and make it your own.

Remove a minor effect, protection, advantage, or boon from a target. Gain VIGOR, INSIGHT, or CLARITY.

Extinguish

You snuff out force, momentum, identity, or lingering influence.

End a temporary effect, suppress a benefit, remove an active enhancement, or prevent recovery until the Scene ends.

Collapse

You accelerate instability toward immediate failure.

Cause a structure, plan, effect, or ongoing situation to deteriorate or fail prematurely. Apply OFF-BALANCE. Escalate an existing complication.

You remove identity, memory, or established reality.

Remove a narrative advantage, known benefit, record, mark, magical effect, or minor story element from a target. Apply EXPOSED.

You reject imposed structure and deny its authority.

Invocation

STXT (Story Effect)

GTXT (Game Effect)

Wither

You inflict entropy upon existence itself.

A target, area, or effect becomes WITHERED. It continuously deteriorates and cannot naturally recover while the effect persists. Whenever the target would recover, improve, heal, stabilize, or be restored, the effect is prevented or reduced instead.
