RHUNA STORY ATELIER

DISCOVER RHUNA

A reason for the next scene to begin

An adventure hook works when someone can respond to it now. Rhuna’s Hooks generator offers openings for cities, settlements and wild places, with options for a solo Hero or a group. A situation, a pressure and an unanswered question give you something to play without deciding the ending in advance.

Open Hooks

How to use the generator

  1. Choose the kind of setting and whether you are preparing for one Hero or a group.
  2. Randomize an opening and identify what the people involved want right now.
  3. Keep the useful parts, change the details that do not fit, and let the response shape what happens next.

An example to build on

A delivery is waiting at a closed crossing. Two people claim it, neither can produce the complete agreement, and the carrier must leave before night.

Bring it into your story

Use a hook as an invitation rather than a command. Give the Heroes room to refuse, negotiate or approach the problem differently. Add an NPC when the opening needs a human motive, or a political conflict when several groups have competing claims. For a smaller spark, Improvise can supply one word instead of a complete opening.

These browser-based tools are free to explore without an account. Use Add to Journal when a result belongs in your WorldKeeper notes, and export backups to keep a separate copy of saved work.
