RHUNA STORY ATELIER

DISCOVER RHUNA

Something someone has heard

A rumor tells you what someone believes, repeats or hopes is true. Rhuna’s Rumors generator combines a report with its source, a connection to the Heroes and an optional possible truth. Use it to give a place a voice or offer several directions the next session might take.

How to use the generator

  1. Randomize a rumor and consider why this particular source is repeating it.
  2. Add or change the Hero connection when you want the report to matter personally.
  3. Keep the possible truth for the WorldKeeper until the Heroes have a reason to discover it.

An example to build on

A carrier says an old route has quietly reopened. Someone the Heroes know was seen asking about it, but the source may be repeating only part of what happened.

Bring it into your story

The possible truth is a preparation aid, rather than information every listener automatically receives. Decide what would count as evidence, who benefits from the story spreading and how the claim could be misunderstood. A rumor can point toward a Place, a local dispute or a larger intrigue without requiring you to force a particular outcome.

These browser-based tools are free to explore without an account. Use Add to Journal when a result belongs in your WorldKeeper notes, and export backups to keep a separate copy of saved work.
