RHUNA STORY ATELIER

DISCOVER RHUNA

Fantasy factions with people and purposes

A faction becomes useful when you know what its members want and how they pursue it. Rhuna’s Factions generator creates guilds and cooperatives, community groups, fellowships and expeditions, and covert networks. Each result connects membership, a goal, a method and a resource with a pressure that can bring it into a story.

How to use the generator

  1. Choose a region and the kind of organization you need, or leave the choices open.
  2. Enter a location if you have one, or open Factions from a generated place to carry that context forward.
  3. Randomize the faction, then develop its internal pressure while keeping its identity.

An example to build on

A repair cooperative shares tools among neighboring households. An outside patron offers to replace its equipment in exchange for a voice in future decisions.

Bring it into your story

Use a faction as an employer, ally, rival or source of competing obligations. Its members need not agree about every decision. Follow a result into Local events or Politics when its interests should affect a specific place. Keep the parts that suit your campaign and change the rest.

These browser-based tools are free to explore without an account. Use Add to Journal when a result belongs in your WorldKeeper notes, and export backups to keep a separate copy of saved work.
