RHUNA STORY ATELIER

DISCOVER RHUNA

One random word. A whole new moment.

When you want to improvise the whole moment, start with one word. Improvise is WorldKeeper’s simple random word generator: choose a word type and let one large prompt give your imagination something to work with.

Choose the kind of spark you need

Pick Noun for a thing, Verb for an action, Adjective for a quality, Adverb for a manner, or Place for somewhere the story could go. Use Any Random Word when you want to leave the choice open. Common real words keep the prompt easy to recognize and easy to reinterpret.

Give it a Mad Libs feel

Imagine a blank in the moment: “Behind the door, we find a ___.” Start with a noun. Try “The stranger seems ___” with an adjective, or choose a place to suggest the next destination. You decide what the word means in your scene. It might suggest a person’s motive, an unexpected object, a memory, or a change in mood.

Use it at your table, or on your own

Bring a single word into a tabletop role-playing game, a writing session, or a worldbuilding exercise. You do not need Rhuna rules to use it. The tool generates a word rather than a complete scene, leaving the interpretation with you.

Want more structure? Try scenes, taverns, or story hooks. Find the full collection in Worldbuilding Tools.
